Engineering was my original occupation, yet I quickly learned that communication is my vocation. As an engineer, I was surprised how often my work was affected by lapses in communication.
So I continued my education in technical and scientific communication and then rhetoric, transitioning along the way to editing. As a freelance editor, I have 30 years' experience editing academic books, grants, articles, dissertations, and theses.
As an editor, I try to ensure that your document is clear and effective in its purpose. I can edit your text so that it conveys a professional tone, presents a clear argument, and follows a logical flow. If you need to comply with a specific set of guidelines or standards, I can also create and apply styles that meet those requirements.
Please contact me if you'd like to discuss your project. I look forward to hearing from you!
